It was smokey but not in the bacon sense that is noted in Rauchbeers.

... and now the handwritten clip is gone too. Could be they discovered a last keg of Imperial down the back of the sofa.

The Plain is back though. Yum [img:1p7w9mmb]http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc236/thebeernut/emot-cheers.gif[/img:1p7w9mmb]

I tried the rusty in the bier haus in cork over the weekend. something tells me they forgot to ship the taste down from dublin. absolutly bland. how do they sell this?

My jury is out on the rusty ab the bierhaus too - had just the one and foudn it a bit blandish too but will try it again as I remember having it in Dublin and liked it there. Dave said it takes two to appreciate it fully so will try it again. Overall I have ben very impressed with all other drinks I have drank from Maguires/Cuilin so for this reason alone would have to give it a second chance!!!

I agree. I loved there porter & the bock was tasty so this bland offering just doesn't seem worth the effort. Maybe a second pint will change me but it'll be instead of a pint of rebel red & I don't know if it's worth it.
