Aughinish Alumina, smelters, dunno if they do cans tho.[/quote:1v27wns0]

AA produce aluminium from oxide, I don't know if they smelt cans. Going by the size of the plant I reckon they could smelt evey can in Ireland

I like how we've moved on to smelting and sorry to bring it back, but I've thought about this over the last few weeks and I think that if it were something sessionable like sierra nevada I wouldn't care in the cans versus bottles however I think that an aged bottle of trappist beer would feel better than an aged can!

Though I'm open for some blind tasting of a can of westy 12 versus the bottle.

So who's up for a tour of a smelting plant followed by some blind tasting of trappist beers, cans versus bottles?

A smelter would certainly be a snug place to visit in chilly old Feb

Mythbusters thoroughly debunked that one ...[/quote:1d5wzj6e]

What as in:

1. Neither are harmful

2. or both will kill you?

Having not seen that episode would love to know more

They got zero evidence of ratpiss on cans and even put loads of rats.on cans to see if they could get a positive result . No joy .

As an aside , in drogheda the nite clubs always used to serve bottles with a napkin stuck in the neck . I was told it was so you could "wipe the ratpiss off "
