Why are people so hung up on bottle conditioning, bar some bigger aging beers i can see the majority of ordinary strength beers not need it

Other than bottle conditioning is a cheap entry level (as a posed to co2 fill lines) for brewery's to get there product out

Hate to quote myself, but this article mentions conditioning New Belgium's Fat Tire in cans but *not* in the bottle.

I've taken delivery from Drinkstore today of a wide-ranging order so would like to blind taste test myself on Can Vs Bottle (maybe I am just a bottle snob)... However not sure I'll find any of the beers in aforementiond order available in tins...

Perhaps this is the Craft Beer drinkers equivalent of the Wine Drinkers '[b:5zgt5lv3]Screw-Cap Versus Cork[/b:5zgt5lv3]' debate which used to smoulder... Seems to have been largely settled now particularly since the explosion in New World Wines which tend to all be screw cap.

Though my old man still won't touch any of that modern 'screw cap' stuff...

So after reading the article here's a quetion:

Where do our glass bottles go for re-cycling ?

I believe a long way away!

Where do our cans go?

I suspect the cans go over to Angelsey to the Aluminium smelter there or is there an Irish smelter?

Will
