Though maybe I'm the only one who paid €2.69 for the bottle. <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

I paid the same in Sheil's of Drumcondra. It's pleasant enough to drink, but they clearly don't want to stress anyones taste buds.

I'm tasting this for the first time. I think it's quite decent, enough malt and hop flavour to be worthy of another purchase, it wouldn't replace my regular tipples but I'd gladly drink it in a bar ahead of the macro lagers.

It's contract brewed in the UK by Theakstons of Old Peculiar fame.

[i:3207jhqj]Apparently (1)[/i:3207jhqj] the guys behind it are interested in getting a contract brewer in Ireland who will offer brew/package deal similar to their current deal. [i:3207jhqj]Apparently (2)[/i:3207jhqj] the patent had run out on the Time brand which is why it's resurfaced.

Very interesting. Do you know anything about who the guys are?

Actually, how does one go about finding out stuff like this?

No idea who they are I'm afraid.

I found this out from my local off licence who suggested I try a bottle. The off licence said the guys behind the venture "call into us" so I'm guessing they may be involved in the business as importers/distributors.

Thanks.

When I asked the proprietor of the offy I bought my bottle from he said it came from Gleeson's, the Tipperary Mineral Water people, so he assumed that's who was behind it.
