Hi,

Alex Chasko from Cooley Distillery. We get malt by the lorry load from Malting Company of Ireland.

I am going to make an offer to any homebrewers out there. If you come down to the distillery in Kilbeggan during the week from 9am-5pm. I will sell you malt (milled or un-milled) at the price that we buy it at. As much or as little as you want. All that I ask is that you brew with it! We have 2 row malted Irish Barley, un-malted spring barley, Oats, and in Sept we will have malted rye.

I don't want to supply someone who is going to sell it at three times the price. I want to help homebrewers who want Irish Malt. Just let me know when you are going to stop by and we will do our best to help you out.

We have used (open) paper 25kg sacks. We don't have plastic woven type malt sacks. So if you have a favorite sack or plastic bin I would bring it. But if you are stuck we can help. Call me on 0870559374 before you come down.
