I agree, it is a lovely beer. I've been fortunate to have discovered it on hand pump and in superb form a few times in Edinburgh. One of these occasions my necessity to repeatedly sample the stunning quality of the beer resulted in me almost being drunk [/quote:32n58l7g]

Very good tee hee!

What would you be starting on in my list of beers Les?

I'll give them numbers as follows:
1. I'd drink these first because I don't remember having them before (which doesn't necessarily mean I've not had them of course)
2. I'd drink these 2nd because I've tried them and like them.
3. I'd drink these last because I've tried them before and don't remember them as being outstanding (which doesn't mean I didn't like them).

Broughton Old Jock 3
Broughton Excisemans 1/3 (I'm not a big fan of Broughton beers)
Youngs old Nick 3
Rouge Dead Guy 3
Gulden Draak 1/2
Strongarm bitter 3?
Fraoch Heather Ale 2
Rochfort 8 2
Flensburger Gold 1
Fullers 1845 2
Circle Master 1
Hobgoblin 3
St Peters Cream stout 1

I hope that makes sense.

<edit> Actually, no forget that. Line them up in order of best before date and drink the ones that are going to go "off" soonest first.

<edit 2> I've just noticed that this was my 100th post here. Seems like a reason to celebrate...

Fantastic,

I like your style!! I will keep you informed. I haven't had any off them before, so each is a spanking new beer for me

well as this will be no help whatsoever, given that you don't have this one, i'm now onto the champion double ale which I much prefer. some more residual sweetness, not as malty an aroma, and a much smoother all round taste. and a % higher abv or so too.

Should have picked that up too, how is it?

I'm on the Gulden Draak (even though I was avoiding the Belgians this evening!)
