Aldi Traditional Irish Ale 16 years 5 months ago #1

Just noticed this in the latest Aldi leaflet. Not on the website.
4 Pack of "Traditional Irish Ale" 330ml bottles €5.99.
Its part of the specially selected range and seems to be a new addition to their range and not just a once off.

Description on the box:
"This ruby red ale pours with a fruity aroma while the late addition of hops adds depth and complexity. Its classic flavour comprises sweet caramel notes followed by a long satisifying dry roast finish."

Sounds promising. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
Judging by the Irish flag on the box, it seems to be brewed in Ireland. Wonder whos brewing it. Didnt manage to get any yet but I plan on tipping in tomorrow and checking it out.

Any one try it?

Not clue. At a guess, I'd say O'Hara's.

Yep, its O'Haras. Just picked up a 4 pack there.
Seamus O'Hara is on the back of it. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Aldi seemed to have a lot more Irish produce in them the other day, I got a lovely smoked irish cheddar and a ballymaloe clone made in cork as well. fair play.
