I had a few bottles of this last weekend. Its quite nice and IMO nicer than O'Haras Red.
It has a lovely roasty, slight hoppy nose and a really nice roasty dry finish.
Must pick some more up for the weekend. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

A Friend in Mead picked up some of this on his way home. Thanks for the tip. I'll be back with a reaction later.

Just having some now, it's EXTREMELY roasty and smells of coffee and has a dry after taste. Not as nice as their Red imo but stll really nice.

What's added to the grain bill that gives it such a roasty coffee flavour?

Roasted Barley.
I'd say they used a fair bit of it in it.
I love the flavour of Roasted Barley!! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I really liked this. Good malty caramely aroma and flavour with a nice dry spicy finish to it.

As a bonus for us homebrewers, the labels literally fall off after a soak in warm water for a while...I hate having to scrub labels off bottles! Downside is they are only 330ml, but hey, you can't have everything. Nice session ale in my opinion, and at 1.50 a bottle you really can't grumble.
