I am sure it could wite till thay have good access. Mcargles is listed as brand under Rye river in our A-Z.

Nope, but neither do they appear in our list either so no Irish craft

They do, not sure if Rye river is present on it though

Really cheap and stupid attack against McGargles cannot do any good to the industry, whoever did this is another level of a prick. Haters gonna hate...

Whoever did this obviously feels pretty strongly about McGargles. Pity they are too cowardly to expose themselves to return fire.

I find the branding cringe-inducingly bad myself but I can't fathom someone going to the point of defacing packaging at point of sale.

McGargles is Irish Craft Beer. If you don't like the beer or the branding, don't buy it. Feel free to mouth off about it in the pub, or here, or on one of the many social media platforms out there. That way others can agree, disagree, or tell you you are being a wanker, which you most certainly are.

I also want to stick my hand up and say that while I do not like the branding or the beers, I think this hate campaign is particularly cowardly. The perpetrator should have the guts to take their issues straight to Rye River.

If the stickers could be considered to have damaged the packaging (for example, if when removed they are tearing the surface) then I think the owners of the stock could potentially say to the Gardai this is criminal damage.

I wonder if there isn't a product tampering / consumer protection issue here too, in principle.

I think there is some scope to investigate this further - probably...

I can understand why Alex Lawes is annoyed- if it were my business I would take it as a personal attack too.

Not a fan of McGargles either- the branding or the output (although admittedly I've only had the red and pale ale- and not lately). But I vote with my wallet, end of story. This sticker thing is bizarre, someone with a lot of time on their hands. The call for a boycott implies a muddled view of Rye River. I'd be surprised if they are a forumite here frankly. Strikes me as a lunatic fringe.

Rarely post here anymore but feel compelled to back up what allot of people have already said. Total dick move on behalf of the person who did that. Pathetic stuff really.

Also not sure why everybody feels the need to start calling McGargles out on their branding. Nothing to do with the issue that's being discussed and just seems like a good opportunity for people to have another pop at them.

Let them brand their beers how they want to. Let them brew the kind of beers that they want to. There's no gun to your head. You can walk to the other shelf and buy another beer. As the consumer this is the best action you can take!
