Topaz brew tips:

The flavour contributed by Topaz is modulated by the specific combination of malt, yeast, brewing and fermentation conditions, with the lighter tropical fruit characters more pronounced in higher gravity brews.

Happy days.

Topaz brew tips:

Dry hopping with Topaz results in resinous, grassy flavours; however, with later additions and in higher gravity brews, her true flavour qualities really begin to shine, as her pleasant, light tropical fruit (some say lychee) flavours become more pronounced.

Have been playing around on beersmith and have come up with something i think.

Hop schedule based on a 23L batch.

Summit 17% AA 50g @ first wort to 75.3 IBU
Galaxy 14% AA 15g @ 30 min to 13 IBU
Summit 17% AA 15g @ 30 min to 15.8 IBU
Topaz 17% AA 30g @ 15 min to 20.4 IBU
Galaxy 14% AA 25g@ 5 min to 5.6 IBU
Citra 12% AA 23g @ 0 min
Tpaz 17% AA 23g @0 min

Topaz 17% AA 50g @ Dry hop 5-7 days
Citra 12% AA 25g @ DH 5-7
Galaxy 14% AA 25g @ DH
COmes in at a nice 130 IBU that should be big flavor with the FWH and late hopping.
Please free to comment or make any changes. This is a first drat based on the recipe suggested.

Is 130 IBU worth doing? Looks good anyway.

It won't be 130ibu.
Only calculated. In reality it might be a bit more than half that.

Should we mash hop?
