Wow... I REALLY like this. I was looking to build something like this on my own using an insulated kettle, but this is already ready to go and SOOO shiny...

You're in Lucan, huh?... Need to start campaign to convince my wife.

(It's my mash tun that I should really be upgrading, though.)

If you're getting rid of this then what the heck is your next project?!?

Is the ball valve welded in place or using a weldless fitting?

Do you have a lid for it?

Any leaks?

Can you provide a link to the exact heating element? (I want to see if it will work ok on 240v 60hz power when I move back to the US.)

Do you see any problem with fitting a screen on the inside of the ball valve to filter out hops?
-How far is the ball valve from the bottom of the kettle? -How much liquid is normally left behind upon transfer?
Have any higher res photos?

Would you be willing to/have the equipment to add two more holes to the kettle? (To add a sight glass and temp probe.)

US is 110V (unless I missed something?) (Frequency doesn't matter for simple electrical equipment. It only really matters for electronics)

You'll be able to use it, but because it's such high output the wiring required to work it (even on this side of the Atlantic) is already a little unusual as it exceeds the 13 amps that a single socket gives out.

I use weld-less connectors and don't have any problems.
All technical stuff can be found here including parts <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="theelectricbrewery.com/">theelectricbrewery.com/
I bought my element from US. Some housed over there have converters to power a/c, heaters, boilers. So it may work there.

My element is 25 A so you can not run it off one socket.
So to get benefits of ultra low density element and 4.5 kW of power I use 3 sockets. Wiring is included in sale. Alternatively a bit of electric work is required to get 25 A feed from board or cooker into an 30A socket.
I'm try to get high res photos done. Any particular details?

I am happy to share XP if you are building your own.

I don't have a good solution for a sight glass.
However I can do extra holes for provided extra fittings.

This Keggle, doesn't have a lid. This is something I can provide, but I need to do workshop to manufacture it.
