The BREW DOCK - Siebel Tasting - Thurs June 28, July 5 & 13 years 9 months ago #91

For me it was:

1. decisive

Soil (not nice at all at this concentration, taste was revolting, earthworm smoothie as far as I can imagine)
Cooked corn (bleah in beer, yay in corn)
Green apples (nice!)
Diacetyl (v. nice! I fancy a scottish -/70 with it...)

2. after few sniffs

Baby vomit (more like blue cheese?! I wouldn't call it a vomit...)
Sewer (well... somehow I don't remember this one too good)

3. not too sure

Acetic
Marzipan

Thanks Padraic, it was a great evening. I was really impressed with the trouble you went to making the descriptions/note sheets.

I would say the earthy one stands out as the most noticeable smell and flavour.

I think most of the flavours and aroma's would be most certainly hidden in a hop forward beer.

That's quite a face I'm making there. Baby vomit, I think.
