And another thing..how is this model meant to be family friendly ?

I assume you only have to pay €10 once and it covers you for the weekend? I fired off a question to them on twitter to see.

Nope its €10 per day. I was hoping to drop in a few times over the weekend. There goes that idea.

If you arrive before 7pm on Thurs or Fri while you won't pay admission you also won't get a glass (naturally). But you can buy a glass for €5.

If you would rather borrow a glass, like you do in a pub, I'm not sure from twitter that you can.

It's a real shame that this is a €10 per day for the weekend. I'll be in town on Saturday with wife+kids but €40 entry is no-go.

Hmm it's becoming less attractive as a proposition the more I read about it. I have loads of glasses at home, I don't need to buy another one, and certainly not for a tenner. So my first beer will essentially cost 3 times as much as 1 beer in any other bar in the city. Or to put it another way, I could go to ATG or B&C or PH and get 3 pints of Irish Craft beer for the same price as one here. Granted I may miss out on some special festival brew or something, but so be it.
Ah well.

On the bright side, there might be more room on said pubs as plenty of people are at the beer festival.... Either that or everyone will have the same idea as you <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

Presumably I can bring my glass from the event in the RDS?
