Well we have two linked issues here. Obviously we need to find out if the festival is going ahead before we can confirm the Hooker visit. If the festival is not happening maybe we could do the brewery visit on the Saturday instead. If the festival IS happening we need to figure out if we have the numbers to make the brewery visit worthwhile on Friday.

A few of us met up in the Bull & Castle on Saturday night and there was a feeling that the brewery visit should take place on a separate weekend. I think it's only fair for everyone else to have their say on this too. I have an open mind...

The friday is no good for me for the brewery visit really, I don't have the holidays left to take.
Which means it's a long way to go just for a few beers on the saturday, and the time could be better spent preparing for my trip to South America I think
So looks like I'm out unfortunately. If there was a visit to the brewery going ahead on a saturday I'd try to make that, but an unknown quantity beer festival, with rumours all around, I will pass.

Ok, what suits me:

Friday 19th, while isn't ideal, is workable for me. That saying I wouldn't be staying around for the Saturday. This is before any of today's rumours, but just that two nights away is not something I can manage right now. If they were on different Saturdays I would choose the Hooker tour. When there are more readily accessible (for me) beer festivals on this month, trying to get to Galway for the 20th isn't very attractive.

I have this W/E inc. Friday booked in for ICB stuff so would very much like to do as much as possible. If there is no festival I am happy to visit Galway pubs instead or at a push Dublin.
Where did the no festival rumour come from xabimacguinness

Repeating myself what about Hooker visit AM festival PM since most of you will be Dublin based and driving. Estimated times could be ----

Leave Dublin 9am Arrive Roscommon 11.30am
Coffee until 12.00
Tour until 1.30pm
Lunch 1 hour until 2.30pm
Roscommon to Galway 1 hour
Arrive festival 3.30pm
This of course may not suit Aiden with the festival on and all that
