All, got some more details on the proposed 'Great Irish Beer Festival' in Galway Oct 20th. Not sure about this at all, calling it 'The Great Irish Beer Festival' is a risky move for a start. Rates for breweries to have a stand are quite steep as well. I've attached a preliminary press release. Appreciate feedback from anyone who may know more about this....web page is <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="

This festival is the first of its kind in Ireland where Irish Micro Brewers and beer importers alike will be showcasing fantastic beers for you to come and taste. This much anticipated event will have approximately 100 beers, ciders and stouts from over the world along with Ireland’s leading craft and microbreweries.
The organisers have stressed that the event is not about going overboard, but rather about trying different beers.
Here’s the deal! For €10 you will gain entry to the Black Box for the day. There will be some great entertainment on the day. 500 early-bird tickets are being put on general sale, which will entitle each person to €10 worth of Beer Tokens to get started.
