Is this Dessie Farrell?

Indeed it was. Apologies all round, but if anyone has any insights on the Des Byrne vs. Conor Powell debate feel free to air them...

I think it's a bit late for that now, I'll leave it be. I've already taken the slagging <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

I just put this down to a classic Poc out of context rambling. I'll inform his state appointed carer.

I received this email today from Fearghal Murphy, one of the organisers:

Hi Niall,
How are you? I am one of the organisers of the Great Irish Beer Festival. I know that you were in contact with Brenda last week and we really appreciate your feedback etc. In continuing with the conversation that you had with Brenda (via e-mail) here is where we are the moment.

* The event takes place on Saturday October 20th in the Black Box Theatre Galway
* All the brewers on your website have been contacted at this stage and if we have missed anyone please contact asap
* The delay in contacting everyone was due to insurance and licensing and we feel that we were correct in waiting until we had our own housekeeping in order before we started down the road of getting in touch
* We want to make this an annual event, not just in Galway but all over the country...but lets get the first edition right

Our company, Midnight Promotions/VIP Security is well known in Galway and has run a number of high profile events including trade shows in the Black Box and Leisureland, Wine Festivals in the Radisson, Arts Festival gigs etc...FM Marketing has promoted gigs ASH, Groove Armada, Bryan Adams, The Sawdoctors, Fun Lovin Criminals, Tommy Tiernan, Ardal O'Hanlon etc... Just today the event was in the Irish Daily Mirror and the Irish Daily Star. Radio interviews this week include Spin FM, Dublin's Country Mix...Our local media partners are The Galway Advertiser and Galway First and have already featured in both papers...

Judging on ticket demand to date, this is a definite sell out. We just have to make sure that we effectively manage entry on the day and we will be keeping a very close eye on the floor at all times. We want people to enjoy themselves but not over indulge. As you are well aware it is something that can be addressed when handled in the right manner.

I had a problem with posting a reply to your website. You can publish this if you have the time. I would appreciate if people started to mail Brenda or myself with any questions. We want to get as many people involved as possible.

Slan,
Fearghal
