As admitted elsewhere on this forum, I actually like Stella, and if there's a tap of it amongst a sea of the other main macro offerings I'm glad to see it. But I wouldn't travel to drink it...

I was under the impression that the Stella distributor does a couple of other things. OK, one of them's Erdinger, I think, but it's odd that the festival are saying there'll just be this one Stella tap. Plus the company isn't named: it's just headed "Stella Artois". If it was even InBev Ireland we would have Leffe and Beck's to look forward to.

I am very much looking forward to this event and meeting with ICB members to chat about beer/ brewing

[quote:9yw77mg3]I could pop out for any one of the beers on that list, with my lunch today.

I would be more inclined to make the trip to Galway if there was a cask of something interesting waiting for me.[/quote:9yw77mg3]
Not all of us have this on our doorstep.

What about a visit to the Hooker brewery in the morning before moving on to the festival?

Any suggestions where to stay in Galway?

Is the festival still going ahead? I heard it may be cancelled...

And what about the visit to Galway Hooker? I also heard that Aidan had a small accident (I hope he gets well )

Your paying the service charge for Paypal there, which is less than 10%. I think we should be happy that they're not using Ticketbastard or it'd be about €14.50 per ticket.

Is this true?

Can someone get a definitive schedule for the weekend for the benefit of people that need to arrange travel and accommodation. It's getting close now.
Is the Hooker visit going ahead on the Friday? If so, what time?
