Really? I have fond memories of drinking cans of Bavaria on the grass outside the Pav back in my postgrad days.

I too have fond memories of drinking outside the pav on a sunny day.
I think it helps if your hobo drinking coincides with a cricket match and sunshine. The crowd are way to big to move on such occasions.
Now that I think of it, shouldnt we run this at the same time as the exams in order to guarantee the good weather? Or will BM kill me for suggesting this?

Drinking in trinity? You just don't get it, do you? That's not knacker drinking!

To do this properly, we will each need an empty Lucozade, Cidona, or other non-clear soft drinks bottle, into which we will decant our cans of lout.

We can then safely drink our "Lucozade" while sitting in Stephens Green, or relaxing on the board walk by the Liffey.

Is that not just used for begging? Or maybe thats just once it becomes porous perhaps, most of those begging cups look like they've long since started to biodegrade.
