The great hobo lager challenge 2010 16 years 1 week ago #1

It is that time of year again when a young mans fancy turns to knacker drinking lager on a park bench.
So who is up for joining me in "The great hobo lager challenge 2010*"? The idea is to see what you can say about lager tasted blind in its natural environment.

I think we need: you, a park in Dublin city centre, a weekend evening, and about 5 lagers.

I can only taste about 5 beers in a row so what should these be?
1. Generic Macro Lager- Heineken
2. Good Lager -Pilsner Urquell
3. Cheapo lager-Lidl special
4. An Irish craft lager
5.??

So whose up for this? Sometime early May suit?
What Lagers should we use?

*warning may not be great

Yay!

I'd go for:

1. "Premium" Lager - Heineken
2. Good Lager - Budvar (Urquell's a bit macro these days, dontcherknow)
3. Crap Cheapo lager - Dutch Gold/Bavaria
4. Quality Cheapo lager - Perlenbacher/Steinhauser
5. An Irish craft lager - Belfast Lager/Hersbrucker

My May's pretty much full, though <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

Good choices. Could we do it a weekday evening? were only sampling five beers so it should be ok on a school night.

What choices are there here? Irish craft lager you can get in a bottle.

I tried this in Spain a few years back. I bought a can of every Lager in the Supermarcado. My tests show that all beers were [size=200:3o8mfqsc]MUCK[/size:3o8mfqsc]. They were all of Spanish origin...

Interesting all the same.
