Kronenbourg Blanc. Mmmmm. I had this in Peter's Pub first. Was very tasty as I recall.

I slept through the dawn chorus that normally wakes me on a Saturday (my 2 year old son that is) and I had a good lie on till 10am! But that many fairly sweet and heavy beers was cutting the stomach out of me on the night. I couldn't even finish my Zaytoon Kebab I was so full (and fairly fluthered too!)

Ch'ti, Kronenbourg Blanc, the La Trappe one and Tesco Finest are about all I can think of and I don't remember any of them in B&C. Mind you, I don't recall seeing Hoegaarden either. I'm not the most observant of punters sometimes.[/quote:2uvx6yf9]

I'm pretty sure Ch'ti Blanc and Tesco FDinest are the same beer. I'm not crazy on La Trappe Blanc, pity because I look their other beers. Kronenbourg Blanc is only ok, IMHO. Maybe I just don't like wits, although I do like Hoegaarden and Oscar Wilde (I'm aware that's the second time I made what is essentialy the one joke, but I do feel I deserved more than a groan for the first time)

No way. The Tesco one has much more flavour than Ch'ti Blanc.

I know Watou have a nice wit available in Ireland, but I think Hoegaarden is the only one in the B&C.

I dislike both for the same reason so I can see where Wobbler is coming from.

My nomination for World's Greatest Wit goes to Blanche de Wissant.

More subtle this time Wobbler. More of an applause than a groan from me.

Right, in terms of Weiss Beers, they currently stock Erdinger, Schoferhoffer and Schneiderweiss. For Wit Beers, yes, they only have Hoegaarden, but they're going to see about getting in a couple of crates of other stuff for us to try on the night!
