Right so I got a walk through of the event today. Tickets are also selling very well so we should have a full capacity, they decided to charge a little to keep the scummers away who just want free drink.
I will be giving a talk on homebrew techniques for about 25 mins or so and then begin the tasting with my chocoholic stout and Dark chocolate wheat beer. Then I will introduce Ed and Richard (in no decided order yet) to talk about their beer they are bringing and have their tasting. Then I will be introducing the commercial brewers such as Hilden to have a chat.
Later there will be an FAQ so I think I will call Beernut and sbillings up to join us to answer any questions, they and other ICB heads helping out can be handing out leaflets before/during the event and help with the pouring etc.
I will finish off with a few bottles of Cloaked stranger to add some coffee to the mix and that is being kept till last for obvious reasons (to those who tried it).
We will be using the little tasting glasses and there will be a different one for each beer so no need to re-use.
It should be a great night. Anyone volunteering that wants to bring someone along for the event can do so without a ticket.
I took the day off work so I will be setting up earlier, I will bring some equipment to show people what I am talking about.
I would say we should have about 100 leaflets or so to hand out with brewing info etc.
The people volunteering, can you wear your ICB colours please? I would also like the banner we had at septemberfest.
Any questions, let me know.
