Well you missed a treat. The highlight for me was Poc's Wendy Ale, an English-style pale ale with some lovely bitter orange notes and cask-level carbonation. A couple of great stouts as well, Bog Myrtle's Ferren Gate was simple but top notch, kinda like O'Hara's, while Irish Party Ale's Black Bull mocha stout was loaded with sweet chocolate flavour, a bit like Young's Ordinary, I thought. We determined that his Irish Potent Aphrodisiac had a smell of burning credit cards, caused by either the ongoing financial crisis [i:23d8aaf4]or[/i:23d8aaf4] a wild yeast infection.
Thanks for the beer, everyone. And thanks to everyone who didn't show up, meaning I could take home a bottle of Bog Myrtle's superb Bavarian Weiss.
