The second-last Thursday (edit: Wednesday this month, see below) of the month will be upon us once more next week. So, subject to Silenus's approval, as ever, the next meet-up for tasting, swapping and general blether will be (not the) 23rd (but the) [b:29xbe107]22nd October[/b:29xbe107] at 7pm in the Bull & Castle Beerhall.

2. IPA - Pink Lady, Black Bull, Irish Potent Aphrodisiac

The brews Im bringing are
Pink Lady - a mixed fruit cider, basically a kit hack
Black Bull - A mocha stout, a heavily hacked kit
Irish Potent Aphrodisiac - a failed kit that I want suggestions on as to why it failed

I like the sound of the Black Bull. The presence of drinking hats will depend on whether our hosts have their Oktoberfest decorations up. I wouldn't want to show up in a cow-patterned, mug-adorned pointy hat[/url:1paxh1qo] and look silly.

It's a dignified and intellectual hat that one. One could never look silly in it.

I just got word from the management that we can't have this on Thursday 23rd. So, I (and they) propose moving it to Wednesday 22nd. Is that OK with you, Irish Party Ale?

The reason we have to move it is the Bull & Castle are staging their own festival, starting on the 23rd. Details and beers to follow, I'm sure.
