I realise it's dumbed down for mass appeal, and for a subject I'm interested in I obviously would prefer more of it, but the balance just doesn't seem right.
The first two series, their wine adventures, were also half hour episodes, but didn't seem as abrupt.
Also, Stephen Fry was granted hour long episodes for his trip across America. Even this seemed too short, but he had the time to expand on each segment, and still come out with a not-at-all-high-brow entertainment program. He's also working on a BBC4 follow up. It would be nice for Oz and James to get the same opportunity. There's a really good show in there somewhere.
I know this is veering off-topic, but "beer-on-tv" aside, it is a big drop off in standard from the first two efforts.
