I'm just off the phone with one of the producers of the show and i know the format & time.
The main emphasis of the show will be on ales.
About 6pm the two boys arrive with the intention of sampling some Real Irish beer. I pour the beers, nip around to the far side of the bar and answer general questions regarding the beers.
After a good chin wag, i invite them to join a Homebrewers Tasting Meeting, in order to sample what may be the beers of the future.
I also ask them to judge the best of the lot based on their own thoughts, and having watched the show a couple of times, this should be fun.
For how long the tasting of homebrew goes on, nobody knows except to say that it finishes when all beer is drank. Needless to say that the attending homebrewers need to supply homebrew for this, not too much is required as the boys are the main samplers.
The cameras are due to stop at 9pm ish.
I've been told that the 2 boys will probably stay for much of the evening, as its hard to drag them away from this type of thing.
This is NOT invite only, everyone is welcome, BUT i need some sort of numbers for sake of organising.
I will start a new thread for the numbers. The first 12 to sign up get to sit at the main table with the boys.
Here's one of the questions;
Whats the difference between Irish Ale & English Ale ?
