I dont think Guinness drinkers try O'Haras and get an instant conversion. Mind you more people prefer it than currently drink it[/url:2uwa1cwu].

After a few years of the rubbish "quest for the mythical perfect pint of Guinness" I was instantly converted when I first tried O'Haras...

Definitely agree about PH chocolate truffle and Wrasslers; in the "Imperial Stout"/RIS category, I definitely agree with Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout making the list; the oaked version is one of my all time favorite beers, PERIOD.

Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout is REALLY overly boozy, though; it will be quite a long time before I buy another one.

Stone RIS is no where to be seen either...

I tried a pint of Molly's Chocolate nitro stout yesterday. Wasn't overly enamoured by it. I've not had a bottle of the stuff yet so I'll reserve judgement until then. I assume the nitro has affected it's taste quite negatively? I didn't get much of a chocolaty taste or smell off it. There was SOME taste but I didn't order a second...

I didn't think much of the bottled Molly's Chocolate - thought Young's was a lot nicer, definitely more of a chocolate hit off it as well. Haven't had Molly's on tap though, so I don't know how well it compares to the bottle.

I've just had a bottle of BrewDog RipTide stout while watching the hurling, very nice indeed - no real bitterness that I was expecting from a big stout, but a really smooth beer with a pleasant but not overpowering kick to it (I think it's 8% ABV). I've a bottle of the Brooklyn Chocolate Stout for later on too, very much looking forward to it.

Brooklyn Chocolate Stout is wonderful. Great to sip before heading off to bed.
