Definitely the APA so, and only 4 euro a pop, it was the first time I went to Dublin and didn't visit the Bull and Castle, god bless more varieties of beer in different places, PS I also want this as a regular in MM.

Is the Brown Ale hanging around or was it just done for the PH festival? When I was in there last week the chap at the bar wasn't sure what I was talking about as the tap wasn't with the other house beers. I really liked it.

I believe it's a regular.
On the ground floor bar it is over by all the Macro beers, or was last time I was there. You probably got a new bar tender who is not familiar with the beer. Not much of an excuse tbh unless it was his first night.

Then again it could easily be a seasonal and was simply not on.

Sorry I left some info out of my post: he found the beer. I jogged his memory that it was entered into the PH festival and he went "oh yeah" and got me a pint of it.

For a brew pub that is brewing its own beer for sale not have its bar staff trained is bad enough, but when a customer asks for one of the beers they brew and you have to prompt him that he really does sell it, <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

On the other hand, I was in last night and a group of Germans sat at the table behind me, with a view of the old blackboard under the stairs. When the barman came over they began ordering off that. He stopped them, apologised for it being out of date, and told them the full list of house beers that were available (including the brown ale) with a description of each. I was very impressed.
