I'll speak to the missus about potential weekly sojourns to West Cork. Hell, I'm game. I'm sure there's a Beoir bursary that can be used to get me to expand my research to Skibbereen. Perhaps even Tahiti.

(btw, I did the Beoir tippy toes scan of a few pubs in the area, and sadly for a region that has a strong history of supporting local produce, there was a distinct lack of Irish Craft Ale.)

I remember it was discussed before but did we ever get round to opening up the editing functions to Beoir members? There are a few places I know need edited (and I'm sure others have noticed places that need updating) but I don't really want to have to nag the admins and that only increases their workload anyway, which isn't quite fair.

Or we could even just have a dedicated team of say 10 people with editing powers, start a "Entries that need updating" thread and then let people post in that and share the workload.

There's already a lot of work that comes from the fact that entries can be added by everyone: duplicates and inappropriate entries abound, but I'm not proposing changing that.
