The breweries probably need to meet them half way and provide some marketing material, even if it's just beermats

Some of the more style-conscious places (especially box-fresh ones like this) mightn't want this sort of thing cluttering up the place. Which is unfortunate, 'cos I think point-of-sale advertising is one of the best weapons against mindless brand loyalty.

Yeah but ironically there's a large poster stuck to a pillar behind the bar - actually it's a very wierdly placed pillar - the staff have to walk around the back of it - it's totally in the wrong place. Anyway, there's a large poster on the wierdly placed pillar. They even have Cuirim glassware too which is great to see.
In fairness, the food smells good too, and there's nice leather couches and stuff. I think this is the creche that us men have been waiting for in the town centre, while the women go splash the cash. Paper in easons, pint in Ruairis... Easy access to the carpark opposite the church too <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Hallelujah, we finally found somewhere in Waterford city that is stocking Irish craft brews - again, after a few years gap in this case - Bodega! restaurant at 54 John's St has O'Hara's Red, Stout and Curim Wheat in 330ml bottles. It's also one of the nicest places to eat if you are ever in this neck of the woods. Now we just need a few of the pubs to follow likewise.

The most surprising craft spotting I can remember:
Extreme Pizza, which has replaced Pizza Hut in Rathmines, has Galway Hooker Pale Ale *and* Dark Wheat on draught.
O'Hara's Red, Curim, Belfast Blonde and Molly's Chocolate in bottles, too.

American West Coast-based franchise - maybe supporting local beer is part of their corporate strategy??
