Cassidy's is weird. If it's a newish bar they've done a hell of a job beating it up to make it look old or "vintage".

Twas fairly dead when I went in there - think it was a mid-week evening between 6-7. There were some tourists, a few barflies and some people downstairs playing board games or something, some kinda warhammer thing.

I'm reluctant to say this because I long since gave up the bullshit quest for the mythical "Perfect Pint" but, I thought the Hooker was a bit off. Can't quite put my finger on it but comparing it to what you get in Porterhouse and Bull & Castle it just didn't seem right. The one pint I had there during the summer was fine. Should've gone across the street to The Palace, Alan -- always a great pint of Hooker in there.
