I had a major pub crawl yesterday. The Palace had no hooker but Cassidys did and that is where I spent the rest of the evening watching a very entertaining singer blast out Irish hits from the likes of the Pogues, Christy Moore as well as some more modern stuff! He was brilliant and the place was packed very quickly when he started.
The Lucan County (beside the Spa Hotel) is stocking O'Hara's Red at only €3 a pint(!), along with O'Hara's Stout at €3.50(!) and Galway Hooker at €4.20. All are draught. They also have bottles but I didn't enquire about prices.
I enquired and was told these are regular prices and not special offers!
(Dunno if it counts but they also have Mick Wallace's wines from Italy)
