[quote:1u4qlo54]He wont be happy to here this but McHughs in Artane is so far ahead right now![/quote:1u4qlo54]Oh dear. I was in the Artane branch recently and thought there was very little in terms of new stock. The demise of Eurobeers is hitting home...

I was also a little disappointed with my last visit to the Artane branch. Shouldn't grumble though, it's nice to have access to great beer even if not as many new ones are turning up.

Well there is always a little more than the Kilbarrack Rd i find, for exmaple, the likes of Aventinus, sierra nevada IPA, St. Peters range, etc, are beers you wont find on a regular basis on the Kilbarrack road, when i asked a manager about St. Peter's he exclaimed it 'isnt a very good beer' so draw what conclusions you will, i personally think they're stuff is fantastic....on another note, Little Creatures Pale Ale is available in Oddbins in Clontarf

Their Old style porter is wonderful. The cream stout is a little lacking

Unusually, was over that side of town on Friday so decided to pop into the Beer Store in Stoneybatter. Most of the usual suspects in stock, but I almost fell over when I spotted two most unusual visitors to Dublin!

First was Snake Dog IPA (6.4%) from the Flying Dog Brewery in Denver and the other Hercules Double IPA (9.1%) from Great Divide Brewing. also of Denver. Not cheap at €3.25 for the Snake Dog and a whopping €5.75 for the DIPA! However, having splashed out on a couple of bottles of each, and downed with Graeme while bottling his Christmas Porter, was definitely money well spent. Not too sure of the stockholding in the shop, but if you like this sort of stuff get youreslves over to Stoneybatter. Now! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
