Where to go for beer in Glasgow 16 years 2 months ago #1

HAs anyone any recommendations for bars in Glasgow that have some well stocked and worth drining beers?

I've been to Bierhoff which has plenty of your European bottled beers. Kinda stumped as to where else I can go.

Their off-licences here are a similar tale as Dublin kinda. There's Odd-bins which doesn't have a huge stock of beer, the usual nasty offies with dozens of Tenenents et al. I did find one place though called [urlhttp://www.peckhams.co.uk/index.htm]Peckhams[/url] which has loads and loads of stuff. They've bottled microbrewed Scottish stuff and even Guinness special export stuff.

Any pubs anyone can recommend me?

Ive been in the crystal palace a wetherspoons just by the jurys inn. lots of cask stuff from all over and some locally produced. its typical wetherspoons but beer is good and cheap. another place ive been to is the Scotia Bar in Stockwell Street.

I recommend the state bar, just off sauchihall street, its on the beer mapping project easy to find...think they have 6/7 different beers on cask

I also recommend the State Bar, on Holland St.

My other favourite Glasgow pubs are:

The Bon Accord, North St (near Charing Cross station).
The Horseshoe, Drury Lane (near Central station)
The Three Judges, Dumbarton Road (near Kelvinhall underground, I think)
Tennents Bar, Byres Road (near Hillhead underground)
The Clockwork Beer Company, Cathcart Road (near Mount Florida station - i.e. a bit of a distance out of the centre).

Cheers,

Les

Thanks Les, I might be over there at Easter and was thinking of asking the same question.
