I was talking about Marston's Old Empire IPA that night. If my theory holds, that bottle of bitter in a clear glass should smell exactly like the Shepheard's Neame brew you had on Saturday...[/quote:24r1tbbm]
I enjoyed the Spitfire and "Nun's Delight" (I usually do!), but I am not enjoying this Marston's Burton Bitter. Bleuch! I don't think I can finish it <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( --> I'll have to have an Old Peculiar to get the taste out of my gob.

Is it lightstruck or just all round nasty?

I think I'd need your nose to tell me whether it was light struck.
