IPA Brewing Techniques, Recipes and the Evolution of india pale ale By Mitch Steel (Master brewer at Stone Brewing Co.)

ISBN 978-1-938469-00-8

I Got a copy of this along with "For the love of hops" today

Just had a flick over it and from what I have seen so far it's a good read. lots of history about IPA and new styles.

Also includes historic recipes dating to 1700's and modern recipes contributed by all the favourite big IPA Brewery's.

Looks good for homebrewers and or any one just interest in IPA

I love IPAs so this and Hops and glory are both on my list.

Please tell us more about the recipes.

It's supposed to be good if you're looking for the history of IPA, the recipies have received a lot of negative feedback, though. (Yes, I realize how weird that is as many home brew books often receive the opposite feedback.)

I haven't really "analysed" the recipes myself for personal scrutiny but I have to admit some are quite vague, for example brew dogs hardcore IPA recipe,

If i can get the scanner to work in the next few days i will fire up a few recipes from the book.

I'll be adding this to my shopping cart, along with For the Love of Hops. Heard really good things about it (well, both of them!), and could do with some fresh inspiration!

Just don't post them in the forum, as it might be considered a breach of copyright. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Hadn't seen that. What were the issues with the recipes?
