Amazing stuff has happened in Scotland. With Diageo literally bullying an independent awards group into denying Brewdog an award.

"The 2012 BII Scotland Annual Awards: Celebrating success in the license trade in Scotland." Were the awards, and they were going to give Brewdog an award. Diageo are the main sponsors of the event, and they threatened to pull funding and speakers minutes before the show if the award was given to Brewdog.

I heard it via twitter and just retweeted the info. I would be very surprised if this didn't circulate at the speed of light.

Does it not sound like a typical brewdog stunt?
Although, one that could cost them alot more in legal fees than it gains in alternative advertising.... if it is a stunt i mean.

They have proved themselves in the past to be nasty while presenting a nice corporate image as good guy,s. As the sergeant from hill street blue,s would say,"Hey let,s careful out there".

As one commentator said "I'd want to be sitting on a pile of indisputable evidence if printing that!"

I can't see how this would be a stunt. Surely no-one would be stupid enough to say what Brewdog said unless they were 100% genuine, certain of the facts and had proof. Diageo has probably 100 times more lawyers than in the entirety of the Brewdog business.

Yeah, I hope Brewdog can back up the claim otherwise I'd see no reason why Diageo wouldn't use this to absolutely cream them.
