Looking for a place to head away in September and this place looks great anyway.[/quote:2xouqisc]

Never seen it and there's no space on their pump for it. As for 'they make their own...', it's not particularly true- White Gypsy brews under license for them. But then, I remember back to Brew No1 and how Brook Lodge also passed this off as being brewed by them. They even had a door with the word Vat Room on it. It was a broom cupboard.

They claim it's organic too.

[quote:19x52z4k]Enjoy a pint of our very own organic lager and stout from our microbrewery in the lively surroundings of Actons Country Pub[/quote:19x52z4k]

Either way White Gypsy brews will keep me happy and the missus will be happy with wheat beer and horseriding.

The Strawberry Tree is Ireland's only certified Organic restaurant and is the main restaurant at Brook Lodge. They only use organic and wild ingredients (it's a legal requirement). Lately under the stewardship of Mary Bulfin, they have also been phasing out use of freezers and going back to traditional methods of food preservation (pickling, salting, cordials etc) which means you get some seriously unique dishes appearing on the menu.
