"Do you serve Irish craft beer?" 14 years 1 month ago #1

I've started asking pubs and restaurants "do you serve Irish craft beer?". Mainly because I know the answer is 'no' but also to stop the automatic excuse of "no one ever asks for it". Yesterday I had the following conversation:

Me: "Do you serve Irish craft beer?"

Waiter: "Yes. We have Blue Moon on special this month."

Me: "Isn't that Coors Brewery?"

I like it - its simple and it works -

I had an arguement with Symths (now fowlers) about a year ago - when asking for Irish Craft beer
The response I got was - no one drinks that sh**e
I was happy I asked.
Dont frequent that bar much these days !

Waiter: "Does not compute."

Sounds like a great excuse for a very sober walk round the pubs in your area:

Enter Pub:

Ask the question "Do you serve ICB?"

Standard Answer back: "No"

Say "Thats a pity!" and leave

If enough do this then they may start to get the message

I have a slightly modified version when I'm in a restaurant- When they say no to my request for ICB, I replied 'okay, just a glass of tap water then please'.
