Mrs. Spud would go for the occasional wit or even brown ale but is getting slowly drawn in by pale ale's.
Not to bitter mind you, around 30 IBU's but lots of late hop flavours, now to sneak up the IBU a bit

Based on all of your recommendations, I purchased the following beers this eve to try. Don't worry, I'll share them and limit it to one a night.

Brooklyn Brewery - Black Chocolate Stout.
Brewdog-Trashy Blond, Pale Ale
Dungarvan Black Rock
Blue Moon
Wrasselers - The Porter House
Chimay Blue
Hambleton Gluten Free Larger

Will let you know the verdict later

My other half loves German pils and Helles. Basically anything sweet and malty from pilsner/Munich malts. Interestingly enough English style beers i.e. sweetness from Crystal Malt etc is not a hit. Too cloying apparently. Make of that what you will.

Always offered a sip of whatever I was having to the missus and now my taste for hoppy beers has seeped in by osmosis.

Fyne Jarl is her go-to beer now.
