Yup, it's a full-on lager.

Hmm...
Is a bottom-fermented, but freshly served (and therefore not stored/"lagered") beer still considered a "lager" in Germany?

Maybe a question for Eoin or Barry.

-Is keller beer technically a lager according to the Germans as it's not lagered?

From the German wikipedia:

"es erfährt also nicht die sonst übliche, mehr oder wenig lange kalte Reifung."

"it does not experience the otherwise normal, more or less long cold conditioning."

The zwicklhahn is the tap on the barrel in the cellar, hence zwickl bier as a name also.

It's a top or bottom fermented beer, the Germans don't consider lager as being a purely bottom fermenter anyway, obergaerig or untergaerig is how they put it.
The lager comes from the post fermenation conditioning and treatment of the beer.

Short answer, I don't think the Germans would consider it a lager beer as it does not store for long.
