Good call! And I had completely forgotten about that! -See, you should've just told Melissa to rebrand it as a "keller bier" and not even wait for the parts for the filter.

It WAS delicious like that...

Hmm...
A German-style, lager-focused microbrewery in Ireland, specializing in unfiltered lagers and heavy, hearty German food and German pub food (curry wurst... mmm...). -I'd certainly go there!
Heck, I even have a name for it: "The Kartoffel Keller" (The Potato Basement).

Heck, blow people's mind and offer a black Schwartzbier lager, and a light-colored yellow ale; spices, fruits, and any other crazy stuff ENCOURAGED. Brewery-style coined "Keinheitsgebot"

"Keinheitsgebot beers at the Kartoffel Keller" certainly has a nice ring to it; even if it IS a bit nerdy.

Oh.. ;(
I know the barmen comment that the typical light-colored lager drinkers won't have anything to do with a cloudy beer, but I wonder if the glassware changed if it would be more feasible.

-I really like the old German system of getting your own beer mug that permanently hangs on the wall at your favorite local and it's kind of sad that no one here as picked it up yet. Pub-goers get their own mug and a place that they can call "their own", they also get a small discount after paying for an annual membership/a mug, and the pubs get increased customer loyalty and a wall of mugs that can help direct the conversation from the Heineken & Guinness taps to their own beer.
I think a proper choice of mugs could also open the door for less attractive color and clarity options.

-If the "mug club" could get unfiltered beer directly from the fermenter, even if it WASN'T discounted, I'd certainly sign up!

-I wonder how far I'd get if I brought in my own pewter mug, handed the barman 4€ and then told him that I'd be proceding downstairs to get my "mug club fill" directly from the fermenter. Might be just crazy enough to throw him off long enough for me to get it filled; lol!
