Wobbler, what beers do the Winding Stair have?[/quote:1hz8qr9g]
Duvel, Leffe, a few German wheat beers (I think), a few from the St Peter's range and Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. That's going from memory, could be more, could have changed and as I said I'm not sure about the wheat beers, although I think I saw schofferhoffer on there. I remember thinking it was a really well thought out list. Also, few enough places stock Duvel and even fewer five you the proper glass.

One to add to the list of restaurants with a decent beer selection then.

On second thoughts, once you exclude the likes of PH & B&C, I'm struggling to think of anywhere that could join it on that list...

The Winding Stair is an allround great restaurant. Food is simple but of a really high quality. Prices of mains rarely go higher than fifteen. The problem is that it's extremely popular so you have to book days in advance.

Ahhhh, I did wonder alright, with the name and all. Thought maybe someone was just being cheeky

Yeah, might try that alright, ta If not, there's always the Mother Ship; either of it's city centre incarnations

Can´t remember now if a czech friend mentioned about some traditional snacks in the Czech Inn (Temple Bar), such as dumplings and so on, but it could be worth a try. It´s not off town and you can always have a good, quick glass of beer...

There's also The purty Kitchen in temple Bar. It's where Bad Bobs used to be. Their beer selection is pretty poor but they do have Paulaner on tap. Their food is nice, lots of fish. Snacks as well as meals.
