I think I'd have gone for Tennents, to bring me back to my childhood <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->. Tennents is three very different beers in NI, the Republic and Scotland respectively. The Scottish one is the best of the (bad) lot.

It certainly is worth looking in those fridges. Last summer, we popped into a little pub in a one donkey village in west Cork. The bar had all the usual suspects, with one notable addition: Paulaner Weissbier.

On a summers day it was just what the Doctor ordered.

I was at a stag recently in w.Cork (my own) and ended up drinking and enjoying The Pint Bottle of Guinness - best off the shelf.
But for after the pub I had Hommel, Vedett and cans of Lech for late at night which someone else brought along. All in all a very enjoyable beer experience!
