Style doesn't matter. I keep thinking of the New Belgium brewing company, and the head brewer there saying he makes art for someones 10 minutes of pleasure, not styles <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> If Aidan calls his beer an Irish Pale Ale, then that's fine (but it does have a hint of US IPA though <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->). It is Irish, it is Pale, and it as an Ale <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

It's definitley marketing. If I was given a Hooker and not told of it's origin I'd conclude it was American.

What I mean is that its and Irish pale ale that happen to fit the acronym for Indian pale ale, it’s a good solid pale ale.

It's Irish, it's Pale and it's an Ale. Who cares what style it fits into?

I agree completely. Trough Lolly seemed to think it was a defined style.
