If you mix port with Jager it tastes just like Buckfast. There the truth is revealed.

The centra on campus in UCD has a shelf of Buckfast. It is not even that cheap you can get two bottles of bad wine for the same cost. Why is it still so popular?

In Lurgan / Portadown they keep it in the chiller cabinets and it is known locally as Lurgan Champagne... you can also buy gift sets in some offies !!

I have had enough of all this Buckfast bashing. Buckfast is the battered mars bar of the drink world. Something that if served in a fancy restaurant would be raved about but just because its not classy it gets mocked.
