Beer and restaurants 16 years 7 months ago #1

Did anyone see the restaurant guide thingy that came with Saturday's [i:3klzs6xu]Irish Times[/i:3klzs6xu]? There was a lovely little soapbox speech at the end of it, explaining how different sorts of beer can be just as good, if not better, than wine with food; and badgering restaurants to put together a proper beer list.

It was unfortunate that the booklet was sponsored by Heineken (which is probably why the piece was written in the first place) so their logo was at the bottom of the page, but it was still great to see.

I'll scan it and post it up later.

Yea I read it, they comparing quality of a low gravity English bitter and a good strong Belgian as a accompaniment for food.

Is that the Tom Doorley booklet?

Incidently, speaking of Heineken, has there been any further evidence of their 'beer naturally' campaign?

[i:3k145bq8]You[/i:3k145bq8] were handing out leaflets? I would have thought they would have scantily clad promo-girls to do that, not a scantily clad Beernut?
