In the Guardian today
www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2008/d ... s?page=all
haven't been to any of them but maybe next year. the one thing you may notice from the article is that the beer is barely mentioned in the article.
anyone been to any of them?
just noticed another article on 'cosy pubs'
www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2007/d ... 0?page=all

No Crown Liquor Saloon? Idiots. The Temple (aka The Temple of Convenience) was on my hitlist for Manchester last year but I never made it past the Marble Arch. Hooray for novelty pubs.

Having been to 2 of the 10 Id guess that they are picking location rather than ambience or beer! That said, unless you get a snug in the Crown its a decidedly ordinary drinnking experience

What would be on the Irish list? I would put something from Boffin Island.

In city centre Dublin what are great Irish pubs? B&C, porterhouse and messers would have to be on a shortlist. Long bar, stags head, Brazen head?
