And now the argument for loud music....
Only kidding..

I was in a bar not too far away recenlty and had to endure the barstaff turning up the musuc when their "favourite" song played.
Not only was every secand song a favourite, but it was turned up beyond conversation level.
This really pi**ed us off and we eventually asked for the music to be lowered.
I'm a big fan of bacground noise to help with the atmosphere, but take it out of the control of idiots.
Incidentaly, we were in the same bar last night and had to put up with the football AND the band warming up,i was convinced this was on purpose for the music incident the other night.

I'd love to name and shame but i might get barred. Shall i just say they make mostly lovely beer but it's bonkers after 8pm in all their bars. they say that's what people want! I cannot believe people want to go to a bar to not be able to hear themselves think while a tv plays news that no one can decipher and the barmen can't hear your order as his ears are bleeding from the loud music and when you go to the jacks to deal with your nose bleed form the thumping bass they have no bog roll.
I love dublin pubs. <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( --> well some of em anyway

In fairness, the blonde lady standing smoking outside my local a few weeks ago who looked like she'd been mugged by the Estée Lauder counter had a few years on me, and [i:3h298mn9]she[/i:3h298mn9] was complaining that the usual Friday night guitarist-drum-machine-and-inappropriately-large-amplifier had not yet set up.

She does [i:3h298mn9]not[/i:3h298mn9], and I quote, "go to the pub to hear myself think".

to be honest I find the music upstairs in B&C on a Friday and Saturday night to be very loud
