Its a once in four year opportunity to sit on my sofa and watch amazing athletes. I would like advice on some spectation enhancing drugs for the events. Can you match events with their ideal beer? What would you recommend for Swimming, Athletics, Random sports (table tennis etc) or long distance running?

Skullspliter (or Galway Hooker) for the boxing,
Some 'Wee Heavy' for the weightlifting,
Bud Lite for the floor gymnastics,
Unibroue Trois Pistoles for the Shooting,
Unibroue Raftman for the canoeing,

and celebrate any Gold medals won with some Dutch Gold?

Long Distance events. The trick here is to get off to a steady pace. If you start up too fast you will push your CnH2n+1OH Max to the limit and end up crumpled in a heap like Paula Radcliffe after a three day bender. What you want is a light beer that won’t test your stamina as the miles you are watching pile up.
