I dunno. Creating mixed drinks that involve beer is pretty much down to personal taste, a bit like cocktails,. and if people like them, fair enough. After seeing mixes of cola and beer pre-made in Germany of all places, I don't get bothered (not that I like the stuff, but only tried it once). Adding Woodruff to Berliner Weisse, and banana syrup to Weissbier are some other mixtures that have become "normal". I guess the Jamaicans jst like the sweetness of the red bull with the Guinness.
It's the likes of just crap beer in general that I see as being a crime against beer, especially the ones that are so mega-popular that they influence people enough to make them think that this is what beer should taste like! At least with a mixed drink you know you're doing [i:qvu5jw7s]something [/i:qvu5jw7s](potentially bad <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="

Then again I should say, well some people [i:qvu5jw7s]like [/i:qvu5jw7s]Bud, so fair enough too. Relax, have a homebrew <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="
